א הַבָּנִים, שִׁמְעוּ בְּקוֹל הוֹרֵיכֶם עַל–פִּי הָאָדוֹן, כִּי כָּךְ רָאוּי. ב ״כַּבֵּד אֶת–אָבִיךָ וְאֶת–אִמֶּךָ״, (דברים ה׳ טו׳//שמות כ׳ יא׳) הִיא הַמִּצְוָה הָרִאשׁוֹנָה אֲשֶׁר הַבְטָחָה בְּצִדָּהּ׃
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise) (NASB)

The most important observation about Paul is that everything that he teaches is sourced from the Torah! Here Paul quotes from Exodus 20:12 and Deuteronomy 5:16 in Ephesians 6:2 to emphasize the importance of children honoring their parents. The Torah has not passed away.
