1 Timothy 5:22

1 Timothy 5:22
5:22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure. (KJV)

Here the NT text is commanding us to not be a partaker of sin. (1 Timothy 5:22). The concept of not being a partaker in sin is deeply rooted in Jewish thought and is reflected in various teachings from the Torah. From a Philosophical Perspective, Cause and Effect, the Torah teaches that actions have consequences. Just as the Creator established natural laws in the physical universe, there are spiritual-moral “laws” governing human behavior. Doing good leads to a fulfilling life, while doing evil results in negative experiences. This aligns with the philosophical perspective expressed in Proverbs 13:21: “Evil pursues iniquity.” the Torah provides a multifaceted perspective on sin, consequences, and the path to restoration. The principles of cause and effect, spiritual vitality, and atonement are central to Jewish thought. This is how Paul taught Torah. The Torah has not passed away.
