Paul writes “Let Everyone prove your own work.” (Gal. 6:4) The Torah emphasizes personal responsibility and self-examination, which aligns with Galatians 6:4 stating, “Let each one test his own work.” For example, Deuteronomy 8:2 “Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart.” This verse highlights the idea of self-examination and proving one’s faithfulness. Exodus 18:21 “But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials.” This passage emphasizes personal integrity and proving one’s worth through righteous actions. Numbers 13:30 when Caleb urged Israel to take the land, he demonstrated confidence in the Lord God Almighty rather than comparing himself to others. This reflects the principle in Galatians 6:4 about taking pride in one’s own efforts. Deuteronomy 30:11-14 “The command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach… No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.” This passage reinforces the idea that each person is responsible for their own actions and must prove their commitment to God’s truth. These verses demonstrate how the Torah encourages self-examination, personal accountability, and proving one’s own work—just as Paul teaches in Galatians. This is how Paul and the NT text taught Torah, the Torah has not passed away!
