The Torah emphasizes the importance of supporting teachers and spiritual leaders, which aligns with Galatians 6:6 “Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches.” Parallels include Numbers 18:8-24, God commands that the Levites, who serve in the Tabernacle, receive tithes from the Israelites as their inheritance. This reflects the principle that those who teach and minister should be supported by the community. Deuteronomy 12:19 “Be careful not to neglect the Levite as long as you live in your land.” This verse reinforces the idea that spiritual leaders should be cared for. Deuteronomy 14:27-29 The tithe was also used to support Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows, ensuring that those dedicated to teaching and service were provided for. These passages demonstrate how the Torah establishes a system where those who teach and serve God are sustained by the community, much like Paul’s instruction in Galatians. This is how Paul and the NT text taught Torah, the Torah has not passed away!
