1 Corinthians 15:58

1 Corinthians 15:58
15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (KJV)

In 1 Corinthians 15:58, Paul encourages believers to always abound in the work of the Lord. The Torah does emphasize the importance of dedication and commitment to God’s work. What is the work of God? In the book of Deuteronomy, Moses urges the Israelites to love God, walk in His ways, and keep His commandments. Deuteronomy 10:12 states, “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” In Exodus, the Israelites are commanded to build the Tabernacle according to God’s instructions (Exodus 25-31). This work required dedication, skill, and commitment, reflecting the concept of abounding in God’s work. These examples share the common theme of dedication and commitment to God’s work. The Torah has not passed away!
