Hebrews 8:5
ה וּמְשָׁרְתִים בַּקֹּדֶשׁ לְפִי תַּבְנִית וְצֵל שֶׁל הַדְּבָרִים הַשְּׁמֵימִיִּים, כְּפִי שֶׁצֻּוָּה מֹשֶׁה בְּבוֹאוֹ לְהָקִים אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּן; הֵן אָמַר אֵלָיו, ״רְאֵה וַעֲשֵׂה הַכֹּל כְּתַבְנִית אֲשֶׁר–אַתָּה מָרְאֶה בָּהָר.״ (שמות כה׳ מ׳)
Hebrews 8:5
5 who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle; for, “See,” He says, “that you make all things according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.” (NASB)
Exodus 25:40
40 “And see that you make them after the pattern for them, which was shown to you on the mountain. (NASB)
Here in Hebrews 8:5 the author of the book of Hebrews thought about Moshe in the Torah and the construction of the tabernacle. He quoted from Exodus 25:40 where Moshe fashioned the tabernacle and the furnishings according to the pattern he saw in heaven. Again here the Torah is a proof text. The Torah has not passed away.
