ספר ישעיהו פרק ח כ
לְתוֹרָ֖ה וְלִתְעוּדָ֑ה אִם־לֹ֤א יֹֽאמְרוּ֙ כַּדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵֽין־ל֖וֹ שָֽׁחַר׃
Here Isaiah makes a significant statement saying, “Those who are against the Torah have no light in them.” This phrase means that those who do not follow the teachings of the Torah are living in darkness and do not have the light of God in them. They also do not have God’s wisdom to guide them. Can we see the weightiness of this statement? The Torah is considered to be the foundation of the Scriptures, for faith and for practice. It contains layers of hidden meaning and Divine wisdom that can only be discovered through studying the scriptures.
