ד הֶרֶבה [הֶרֶב] כַּבְּסֵנִי מֵעֲוֹנִי וּמֵחַטָּאתִי טַהֲרֵנִי
יב לֵב טָהוֹר בְּרָא-לִי אֱלֹהִים וְרוּחַ נָכוֹן חַדֵּשׁ בְּקִרְבִּי
Here David says in Psalms 51 humbly asking the Lord to cleanse him of his iniquity and to keep a correct spirit within him! This was David’s daily acknowledgement that he was powerless to change his own character, and he needed the Lord to help him. Do we have this kind of attitude today in relation to our sin?
