Bits of Torah Truths – What does it Mean Let Us Glory in the Lord? – Episode 77

Jeremiah 9:23 [24]

1 Corinthians 1:31

Jeremiah 9:24
24 but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord. (NASB)

1 Corinthians 1:31
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. (NASB)

It is interesting here the concepts that are presented in Jeremiah 9:24, here we are to boast in the Lord and doing so in who God is, the One who delights in grace, justice, and righteousness on earth. Paul quotes saying that we are to glory in the Lord. So, glorying and boasting are connected here, and so to glory in the Lord is to give praise to God who exercises grace, justice, and righteousness according to His Torah!
