Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 14:30 “But if a revelation is made to another who is seated, the first one must keep silent.” This verse emphasizes orderly prophecy and the idea that divine revelation should be shared in a structured manner. We note the parallels in the Torah on receiving and sharing the divine instruction of God. Take for example the instructions on Moses and the Elders (Numbers 11:16-17, 25) God instructs Moses to gather seventy elders, and He distributes His spirit among them so they may prophesy. This reflects the idea that revelation is not confined to one person but can be shared among multiple individuals. The Role of Prophets (Deuteronomy 18:15-18) Moses foretells that God will raise up prophets to speak His words, reinforcing the idea that divine messages are meant to be communicated in an orderly fashion. The Giving of the Torah (Exodus 19-20) The structured manner in which God delivers the commandments to Moses, who then shares them with Israel, aligns with the principle of revelation being received and passed on in an organized way. These passages from the Torah parallel the concept “Let times be shared” by emphasizing the orderly transmission of the wisdom of God. This is how Paul and the NT text taught Torah, the Torah has not passed away!
