The Torah contains passages that parallel the concept of husbands loving their wives, as emphasized in Ephesians 5:22-24, Colossians 3:18, and 1 Peter 3:1-6. One key passage is Genesis 2:24, which states: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” This verse highlights the deep bond between husband and wife, implying love, commitment, and unity. Another relevant passage is Deuteronomy 24:5, which says: “When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty.
