(NASB)<\/span><\/em> This psalm is introduced speaking of \u201ca song of ascending unto you.\u201d Based upon this text, this was a song that was composed to the Lord God in heaven for ascending the Temple mount in Jerusalem. The idea is as God is enthroned in heaven, the one who ascends fixes his eyes upon the Lord in the anticipation of communing with the Lord in the place He has established His name. The Targum translates saying, \u05d0 \u05e9\u05d9\u05e8\u05d0 \u05d3\u05d0\u05d9\u05ea\u05d0\u05de\u05e8 \u05e2\u05dc \u05de\u05e1\u05e7\u05d9\u05d9\u05df \u05de\u05e1\u05d5\u05e7\u05d9\u05df \u05d3\u05ea\u05d4\u05d5\u05de\u05d0 \u05e7\u05d3\u05de\u05da \u05d6\u05e7\u05e4\u05d9\u05ea \u05d9\u05ea \u05e2\u05d9\u05e0\u05d9 \u05d3\u05d9\u05ea\u05d9\u05d1 \u05e2\u05dc \u05db\u05d5\u05e8\u05e1\u05d9 \u05d9\u05e7\u05e8\u05d0 \u05d1\u05e9\u05de\u05d9\u05d0\u05c3 <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">123:1 A song that was uttered on the ascents of the abyss.
