A psalm of Asaph. 83:1 O God, do not remain quiet; Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still. (NASB)<\/span><\/em>\u00a0 Asaph asks three things, to not remain quiet, silent, or still.\u00a0 He continues with reasons for his request saying, \u05d2\u00a0\u00a0 \u05db\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9-\u05d4\u05b4\u05e0\u05bc\u05b5\u05d4 \u05d0\u05d5\u05b9\u05d9\u05b0\u05d1\u05b6\u05d9\u05da\u05b8 \u05d9\u05b6\u05d4\u05b1\u05de\u05b8\u05d9\u05d5\u05bc\u05df \u05d5\u05bc\u05de\u05b0\u05e9\u05b7\u05b9\u05e0\u05b0\u05d0\u05b6\u05d9\u05da\u05b8 \u05e0\u05b8\u05e9\u05b0\u05b9\u05d0\u05d5\u05bc \u05e8\u05b9\u05d0\u05e9\u05c1: \u05d3\u00a0\u00a0 \u05e2\u05b7\u05dc-\u05e2\u05b7\u05de\u05bc\u05b0\u05da\u05b8 \u05d9\u05b7\u05e2\u05b2\u05e8\u05b4\u05d9\u05de\u05d5\u05bc \u05e1\u05d5\u05b9\u05d3 \u05d5\u05b0\u05d9\u05b4\u05ea\u05b0\u05d9\u05b8\u05e2\u05b2\u05e6\u05d5\u05bc \u05e2\u05b7\u05dc-\u05e6\u05b0\u05e4\u05d5\u05bc\u05e0\u05b6\u05d9\u05da\u05b8: \u05d4\u00a0\u00a0 \u05d0\u05b8\u05de\u05b0\u05e8\u05d5\u05bc \u05dc\u05b0\u05db\u05d5\u05bc \u05d5\u05b0\u05e0\u05b7\u05db\u05b0\u05d7\u05b4\u05d9\u05d3\u05b5\u05dd \u05de\u05b4\u05d2\u05bc\u05d5\u05b9\u05d9 \u05d5\u05b0\u05dc\u05b9\u05d0-\u05d9\u05b4\u05d6\u05bc\u05b8\u05db\u05b5\u05e8 \u05e9\u05c1\u05b5\u05dd-\u05d9\u05b4\u05e9\u05b0\u05b9\u05e8\u05b8\u05d0\u05b5\u05dc \u05e2\u05d5\u05b9\u05d3:\u00a0 <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">83:2 For behold, Your enemies make an uproar, And those who hate You have exalted themselves. 83:3 They make shrewd plans against Your people, And conspire together against Your treasured ones. 83:4 They have said, \u2018Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, That the name of Israel be remembered no more.\u2019 (NASB)<\/span><\/em>\u00a0 He says that the nations come together in agreement, \u05d5\u00a0\u00a0 \u05db\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05e0\u05d5\u05b9\u05e2\u05b2\u05e6\u05d5\u05bc \u05dc\u05b5\u05d1 \u05d9\u05b7\u05d7\u05b0\u05d3\u05bc\u05b8\u05d5 \u05e2\u05b8\u05dc\u05b6\u05d9\u05da\u05b8 \u05d1\u05bc\u05b0\u05e8\u05b4\u05d9\u05ea \u05d9\u05b4\u05db\u05b0\u05e8\u05b9\u05ea\u05d5\u05bc: <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">83:5 For they have conspired together with one mind; Against You they make a covenant: (NASB)<\/span><\/em> Asaph asks three things, to not remain quiet, silent, or still.\u00a0 <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Lamentations 3:26<\/span><\/em> states, \u05d8\u05a4\u05d5\u05b9\u05d1 \u05d5\u05b0\u05d9\u05b8\u05d7\u05b4\u05d9\u05dc\u0599 \u05d5\u05b0\u05d3\u05d5\u05bc\u05de\u05b8\u0594\u05dd \u05dc\u05b4\u05ea\u05b0\u05e9\u05c1\u05d5\u05bc\u05e2\u05b7\u0596\u05ea \u05d9\u05b0\u05d4\u05d5\u05b8\u05bd\u05d4\u05c3 <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">3:26 It is good that a man should quietly wait For the salvation of the LORD. (NASB)<\/span><\/em>\u00a0\u00a0 It is believed that Jeremiah wrote the book of Lamentations.\u00a0 Jeremiah says that it is good for a man to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.\u00a0 There appears to be a purpose behind the apparent quietness, silence, or stillness of God.
