In this week\u2019s study from Tehillim \/ Psalms 82:1-8<\/span><\/em>, the Psalm opens saying, \u05d0 \u05de\u05b4\u05d6\u05b0\u05de\u0597\u05d5\u05b9\u05e8 \u05dc\u05b0\u05d0\u05b8\u05ab\u05e1\u05b8\u05a5\u05e3 \u05d0\u05b1\u200d\u05bd\u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b4\u0597\u05d9\u05dd \u05e0\u05b4\u05e6\u05bc\u05b8\u05a5\u05d1 \u05d1\u05bc\u05b7\u05e2\u05b2\u05d3\u05b7\u05ea\u05be\u05d0\u05b5\u0591\u05dc \u05d1\u05bc\u05b0\u05e7\u05b6\u0596\u05e8\u05b6\u05d1 \u05d0\u05b1\u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b4\u05a3\u05d9\u05dd \u05d9\u05b4\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05e4\u05bc\u05b9\u05bd\u05d8\u05c3 A psalm of Asaph. 82:1 God takes His stand in His own congregation; He judges in the midst of the rulers. (NASB)<\/span> <\/em>Asaph states that the Lord God takes a stand in His own congregation. What does it mean that He is taking a stand? He says that the Lord judges in the midst of judges (\u05d9\u05b4\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05e4\u05bc\u05b9\u05bd\u05d8). The Apostle Peter said in 1 Peter 4:17 For it is the time for the judgment to have begun from the house of God; and if from us first, what will be the outcome of those disobeying the gospel of God? (NASB)<\/span><\/em> Note the Judgment is based upon obedience. Selah. 82:3 Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. 82:4 Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. 82:5 They do not know nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
