A Psalm of the sons of Korah.<\/span><\/em>\u00a0 The psalmist continues saying <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">49:1 Hear this, all peoples; Give ear, all inhabitants of the world, 49:2 Both low and high, Rich and poor together. 49:3 My mouth will speak wisdom, And the meditation of my heart will be understanding. (NASB)<\/span><\/em>\u00a0 David makes a plea to all peoples and he specifically states \u05db\u05bc\u05b8\u05dc-\u05d9\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05d1\u05b5\u05d9 \u05d7\u05b8\u05dc\u05b6\u05d3 which states <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201call inhabitants of the world\u201d<\/span><\/em> but here is an unusual word used as a reference to <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201cthe world.\u201d<\/span><\/em>\u00a0 He calls the people to listen to the proverb he will sing.\u00a0 David says why fear these enemies who are full of iniquity, those who boast in their riches (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>49:5-6<\/em><\/span>)?\u00a0 He says \u05d8\u00a0\u00a0 \u05d5\u05b0\u05d9\u05b5\u05e7\u05b7\u05e8 \u05e4\u05bc\u05b4\u05d3\u05b0\u05d9\u05d5\u05b9\u05df \u05e0\u05b7\u05e4\u05b0\u05e9\u05c1\u05b8\u05dd \u05d5\u05b0\u05d7\u05b8\u05d3\u05b7\u05dc \u05dc\u05b0\u05e2\u05d5\u05b9\u05dc\u05b8\u05dd: <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">49:8 For the redemption of his soul is costly, And he should cease trying forever. (NASB)<\/span><\/em>\u00a0 Is he suggesting that there are those who seek to redeem their own souls?\u00a0 He says that such a person should cease from trying and that by doing so he will live eternally and not undergo decay (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">49:8-9<\/span><\/em>).\u00a0 David continues speaking of the vanity and foolishness of man in trying to make a name for himself (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">49:10-13<\/span><\/em>).
