Of the Sons of Korah. A maskil. 44:1 O God, we have heard with our ears, Our fathers have told us The work that You did in their days, In the days of old.\u201d (NASB)<\/span><\/em>\u00a0 How have the fathers told David what the Lord did in the days of old?\u00a0 He continues describing what the Lord did saying <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201c44:2 You with Your own hand drove out the nations; Then You planted them; You afflicted the peoples, Then You spread them abroad. 44:3 For by their own sword they did not possess the land, And their own arm did not save them, But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, For You favored them.\u201d (NASB)<\/span><\/em>\u00a0 David says the Lord brings victories (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:4<\/span><\/em>), He defeats the enemy (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:5<\/span><\/em>), He puts the enemy to shame (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:7<\/span><\/em>), David does not trust in his sword (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:6<\/span><\/em>) but trusts in the Lord and gives Him thanks forever (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:8<\/span><\/em>).\u00a0 The Psalmist then states that the Lord has brought dishonor upon their army (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:10<\/span><\/em>), He has caused them to be scattered and to turn back from their enemy (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:10<\/span><\/em>), He has given them as sheep to be eaten (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:11<\/span><\/em>), the people have been sold cheaply (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:12<\/span><\/em>), He made them to be a reproach to the neighbors (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:13<\/span><\/em>) and to become a byword among the nations (<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">44:14<\/span><\/em>).\u00a0 Read More Here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.matsati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Tehillim-44-Part1.pdf\">Tehillim 44-Part1<\/a>  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week\u2019s study is from Tehillim \/ Psalms 44:1-26, the Psalm opens saying \u201cFor the director of music.
