The Torah consistently commands Israel to preserve unity, protect one another, and avoid actions that tear down the people of God.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>&#8211; Torah parallels &#8211;<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Do not hate your brother in your heart \u2013 Leviticus 19:17\u201318 commands Israel to rebuke in love, not harbor hostility, and to love one\u2019s neighbor as oneself, preventing destructive internal conflict.<\/li>\n<li>Do not act as Korah did \u2013 Numbers 16 shows how rebellion, rivalry, and internal strife bring destruction upon the community, illustrating the danger of devouring one another.<\/li>\n<li>Do not bear tales or spread slander \u2013 Leviticus 19:16 forbids speech that harms or endangers others, directly paralleling Paul\u2019s warning against destructive interpersonal behavior.<\/li>\n<li>Do not take vengeance or hold grudges \u2013 Leviticus 19:18 teaches that retaliation and bitterness fracture the community and violate covenant unity.<\/li>\n<li>Protect the vulnerable and refuse oppression \u2013 Exodus 22:21\u201324 and Deuteronomy 24:14\u201315 command Israel not to mistreat one another, especially the weak, preventing internal destruction through exploitation.<\/li>\n<li>Do not strive with your brothers \u2013 Genesis 13:7\u20139 (Abraham and Lot) models the Torah ethic of avoiding destructive conflict by choosing peace over contention.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>&#8211; Context Synthesis &#8211;<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Galatians 5:15 warns that when believers turn liberty into self\u2011centeredness, they begin to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cbite and devour\u201d<\/em><\/span> one another, leading to mutual destruction.
