Call on Him because He is near (Deut. 4:7). Ask in faith because He responds (Gen. 25:21; Num. 21:7). Draw near and God draws near (Ex. 33:7\u201311). The Sermon on the Mount is built on the Torah\u2019s theology of prayer-access and covenant nearness.
