The Torah repeatedly calls Israel to remember, recognize their backsliding, and return. It is Torah covenant logic restated for the assemblies: Remember your covenant position. Recognize your fall\/backsliding. Repent (return). Restore the original obedience and devotion. Receive covenant blessing instead of judgment. This is the same cycle Moses lays out in Deuteronomy and Leviticus.
