(NASB) <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.matsati.com\/index.php\/category\/bits-of-torah-truths\/ \">https:\/\/www.matsati.com\/index.php\/category\/bits-of-torah-truths\/ <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here Paul is commanding Timothy to rebuke with all longsuffering (with patience, endurance, and covenantal steadfastness, 2 Tim. 4:2). It is a direct continuation of Torah\u2019s model of patient, covenant\u2011rooted correction: God is longsuffering while rebuking (Exod. 34:6), Moses rebukes patiently and repeatedly (Num. 14; 11), Rebuke must be restorative, not harsh (Lev. 19:17), Covenant instruction requires endurance (Deut. 6:7; 8:5). Paul is telling Timothy to rebuke the way God and Moses rebuked: firmly, faithfully, and patiently.
