It is a direct continuation of the Torah\u2019s model of authoritative, covenant\u2011based correction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Torah Parallels to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cRebuke With All Authority\u201d<\/span> (Titus 2:15) &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Authority to Rebuke Comes From God\u2019s Command Leviticus 19:17 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cYou shall surely rebuke your neighbor.\u201d<\/em><\/span> This is the Torah\u2019s foundational command for rebuke.<\/li>\n<li>Moses as the Model of Authoritative Rebuke Deuteronomy 1:3; 1:5 Moses speaks <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201caccording to all that YHWH commanded him.\u201d <\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Priests and Levites Rebuke With Judicial Authority Deuteronomy 17:8\u201313 Priests and judges issue authoritative rulings.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cLet No One Disregard You\u201d<\/em><\/span> = Torah\u2019s <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cDo Not Turn Aside\u201d<\/em><\/span> Deuteronomy 17:11 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cDo not turn aside from the word they declare to you.\u201d <\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Covenant Leaders Must Teach and Rebuke Authoritatively Deuteronomy 31:9\u201313 Priests teach with authority, so Israel learns to fear YHWH.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>6. Authoritative Rebuke Protects the Community Deuteronomy 13:11; 17:13; 19:20 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cAll Israel shall hear and fear.\u201d <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Context Synthesis &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rebuke with all authority Lev. 19:17 Rebuke is a divine command.<\/li>\n<li>Speak with divine authority Deut. 1:3, 1:5 Moses as authoritative rebuker.<\/li>\n<li>Binding correction Deut. 17:8\u201313 Priests\/judges speak with YHWH\u2019s authority.<\/li>\n<li>Let no one disregard you Deut. 17:11 Do not turn aside from authoritative instruction.<\/li>\n<li>Teach and exhort with authority Deut. 31:9\u201313 Priests teach with covenant authority.<\/li>\n<li>Rebuke to protect the community Deut. 13:11; 17:13; 19:20 Authoritative correction preserves holiness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Conclusion &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Paul\u2019s command to Titus<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em> \u201crebuke with all authority\u201d<\/em><\/span> is a direct continuation of Torah\u2019s model of authoritative, covenant\u2011rooted correction: Rebuke is commanded (Lev. 19:17), Leaders speak with God\u2019s authority (Deut. 1:3; 17:8\u201313), The community must not disregard correction (Deut. 17:11), Authoritative rebuke protects the covenant people (Deut. 13; 17; 19). Paul is not inventing a new leadership style, he is applying the Torah\u2019s judicial and priestly authority structure to the ekkl\u0113sia.
