The core Torah virtue is embodied especially in Moses and Joseph. Paul\u2019s command to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cput on humility\u201d<\/em><\/span> in Colossians 3:12 is not a new ethic; it is a direct continuation of the Torah\u2019s character\u2011forming vision.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Torah Parallels to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cPut On Humility\u201d<\/span> (Col. 3:12) &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Moses, The Torah\u2019s Supreme Model of Humility Numbers 12:3, Moses is called <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cvery humble, more than any man on earth.\u201d <\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Joseph, Humility Before Exaltation, Joseph <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cendured humbling circumstances before being exalted,\u201d<\/em><\/span> modeling the Kingdom principle that exaltation comes through humility. Joseph\u2019s humility is shown in: His refusal to self\u2011promote, His acknowledgment that wisdom comes from God (Gen. 41:16), and His forgiveness of his brothers.<\/li>\n<li>Humility in Giving and Charity (Deut. 15:7\u20138), The Torah emphasizes humility and sincerity in giving, not seeking recognition. Humility as a Required Posture Before God, The Torah repeatedly commands Israel to: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cRemember you were slaves in Egypt\u201d<\/em><\/span> (Deut. 5:15; 15:15) and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cDo not say, \u2018My power and the strength of my hand made this wealth\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/span> (Deut. 8:17).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These verses cultivate humility by remembering our dependence on God. Divine Humility as a Model, this midrashic idea is rooted in Torah narratives where: God stoops to speak with humans, God walks with Israel in the wilderness, and God bears with their failures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211;
