The Torah repeatedly call Israel to test, discern, and hold fast to what is truly from God, rejecting what is false or harmful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Torah Parallels to \u201cProve All Things\u201d &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deuteronomy 13:1\u20135 Testing prophets and signs, Israel is commanded to test prophetic claims against covenant truth. Even if signs appear real, they must be proven by fidelity to HaShem.<\/li>\n<li>Deuteronomy 18:20\u201322 Criteria for true prophecy, this is a direct parallel: discernment requires proving words by their fulfillment. Leviticus 10:1\u20133 Strange fire before the Lord, Nadab and Abihu offered unauthorized fire, which was rejected. Paul universalizes this principle: believers must prove all things, whether teaching, practice, or spirit, and hold fast to what is good.
