These Torah foundations anticipate the NT teaching about asking God to send workers into His harvest. &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Torah Parallels and Foundations<\/span> &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dependence on God for Harvests<\/span> Leviticus 26:3\u20134 The Torah emphasizes that agricultural labor succeeds only if God provides. This parallels the NT idea that the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cLord of the harvest\u201d<\/em><\/span> must be petitioned to send laborers. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">God Appoints Laborers for Sacred Work<\/span> Numbers 3:5\u201310 Just as Yeshua tells disciples to pray for laborers in the spiritual harvest, the Torah shows God Himself assigning workers for His sanctuary. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Bezalel and Oholiab<\/span> Exodus 31:1\u20136 These men reflect the principle that workers for God\u2019s mission are not self-appointed but divinely empowered. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Prayer for Provision of Workers<\/span> Numbers 11:16\u201317 Moses, overwhelmed by the burden of leadership, cries out to God. In response, God appoints seventy elders to share the load. This is a strong Torah parallel: Moses\u2019 plea leads to God providing more <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201claborers\u201d<\/em><\/span> for the work of guiding Israel. The Torah sets the precedent: workers for God\u2019s mission are chosen and empowered by Him, whether for agriculture, priestly service, or leadership. The NT extends this principle into the spiritual realm: disciples are to pray that God will raise up evangelists and ministers, just as Moses prayed for helpers and God appointed elders.
