The Torah itself contains several foundational principles that parallel this ethic, even though the language is different. – Torah Parallels to “Not Judging in Doubtful Things” – Leviticus 19:15–18 Justice and Neighbor Love, The Torah warns against partial or presumptive judgment and ties it directly to love your neighbor. This anticipates Paul’s call to avoid condemning others over disputable matters. Deuteronomy 17:8–11 Matters Too Difficult, when disputes arose that were too difficult, they were to be brought to the priests and judges at the central sanctuary. This shows that not every individual was to pass judgment on complex or doubtful issues; instead, humility and deference were required. Paul echoes this principle: don’t set yourself up as a judge in gray areas. Exodus 23:1–2, 7 Guarding Against False or Rash Judgment, the Torah emphasizes restraint in judgment, especially when the facts are uncertain. Numbers 12:1–15 Miriam and Aaron vs. Moses, this illustrates the danger of judging others in matters not clearly commanded or forbidden. The Torah Principle is Do not presume to judge where God has not spoken clearly; instead, act in love and humility. Paul’s Application is in the Messianic community, don’t condemn others over disputable matters (food, days, conscience). Instead, focus on not causing your brother to stumble. Both Torah and Paul emphasize that judgment belongs to God, while our role is to walk in love, fairness, and restraint. This is how Paul taught Torah, the Torah has not passed away!

Bits of Torah Truths – #Torah Concept in the NT: Let Us Not Judge One Another in Doubtful Things – Episode 640 Romans 14:13 לָכֵן אַל נִשְׁפֹּט עוֹד אִישׁ אֶת רֵעֵהוּ, אֶלָּא שֶׁזֶּה יִהְיֶה שִׁפּוּטְכֶם׃ שֶׁלֹּא יִתֵּן אִישׁ אֶבֶן נֶגֶף אוֹ מִכְשׁוֹל לִפְנֵי אָחִיו. #torah #torahwisdom #torahtruth #torahforlife #torah4you #torahtruth Romans 14:13 14:13 Therefore let […]

[48,34
73,74,234,77,78
0":"post-24081","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-bits-of-torah-truths","8":"category-video","9":"tag-biblicalethics","10":"tag-messianicfaith","11":"tag-romans1413","12":"tag-spiritualdiscernment","13":"tag-torahtruths
["GET
