While the Torah focuses on physical sacrifices, it also anticipates verbal and heart-based offerings that align with the NT idea of continual praise (Note how David does this in the Psalms a lot). &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Torah Parallels to \u201cSacrifices of Praise\u201d<\/span> &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Thanksgiving and Peace Offerings<\/span> &#8211; Leviticus 7:11\u201315 The \u05e9\u05dc\u05de\u05d9\u05dd (peace offerings) include a thanksgiving component, often accompanied by verbal praise and shared meals. These offerings were voluntary and celebratory, expressing gratitude to God, a physical precursor to the spiritual <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201csacrifice of praise\u201d<\/em><\/span> in Hebrews. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Verbal Worship as Sacrifice<\/span> &#8211; Hosea 14:2 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cTake words with you and return to the LORD\u2026 that we may offer the fruit of our lips.\u201d<\/em><\/span> This prophetic call echoes the language of Hebrews 13:15 almost verbatim, suggesting that verbal praise was already seen as a legitimate offering in the Hebrew tradition. Psalm 50:23 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cHe who sacrifices a sacrifice of praise honors Me.\u201d<\/em><\/span> Though outside the Torah proper, this psalm reflects the Torah\u2019s evolving understanding of worship, moving from ritual to relational praise. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Daily Worship and Covenant Faithfulness<\/span> &#8211; Exodus 29:38\u201342 Daily burnt offerings were commanded as a continual act of worship. Hebrews transforms this into continual verbal praise, no longer bound to animal sacrifice, but still rooted in daily devotion. Deuteronomy 6:5\u20137 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cYou shall love the Lord your God\u2026 and talk of Him when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/span> This lifestyle of constant God-centered speech parallels the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201ccontinual\u201d<\/em><\/span> aspect of Hebrews 13:15. Hebrews 13:15 marks a shift from external ritual to internal devotion, but not a rejection of Torah. Instead, it fulfills the Torah\u2019s deeper intent: that worship be covenantal, heartfelt, and constant. The <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cfruit of lips\u201d<\/em><\/span> becomes the offering, made acceptable through Christ\u2019s mediation.
