While the Torah doesn\u2019t frame salvation in post-resurrection terms, it repeatedly emphasizes that entering God\u2019s promised rest (the land, covenantal blessing, life itself) requires active, faithful response and not passive belief. &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Torah Parallels<\/span> to Hebrews 4:11: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cLabor to Enter Rest\u201d<\/em><\/span> &#8211; Genesis 2:2\u20133 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cGod rested\u2026 and sanctified it\u201d<\/em><\/span> Divine rest as archetype, the concept of rest originates in creation, later echoed in covenantal rest. Exodus 19:5 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cIf you will indeed obey\u2026 then you shall be my treasured possession\u201d<\/em><\/span> Conditional covenant, entry into covenantal blessing requires active obedience. Exodus 20:8\u201311 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cSix days you shall labor\u2026 the seventh is a Sabbath\u201d<\/em><\/span> Rest is preceded by labor mirroring the spiritual striving in Hebrews. Numbers 14:22\u201323 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cThey shall not see the land\u2026 they have tested me\u201d<\/em><\/span> Exclusion from rest due to unbelief which is a direct typological source for Hebrews 4:11. Deuteronomy 6:17\u201318 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cDiligently keep\u2026 that it may be well with you\u201d<\/em><\/span> Obedience as pathway to blessing where laboring in obedience leads to covenantal rest. Deuteronomy 30:16\u201320 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cChoose life\u2026 by loving the LORD\u2026 and holding fast to him\u201d<\/em><\/span> Active pursuit of life, salvation is framed as a choice requiring effort and covenant fidelity. The wilderness generation becomes the central typological warning: they were redeemed from Egypt but failed to enter rest due to unbelief and disobedience. Hebrews uses this as a theological mirror; salvation is not automatic; it demands a diligent response.
