While Paul uses the Greek term eusch\u0113mon\u014ds (translated as <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201chonestly\u201d or \u201cdecently\u201d<\/em><\/span>), the Torah expresses this idea through commands for upright conduct, integrity, and walking in God&#8217;s ways. For example, Walking honestly \/ decently &#8211; God says <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cWalk before Me and be blameless\u201d<\/em><\/span> &#8211; Genesis 17:1 &#8211; God commands Abraham to walk in integrity (tamim) a foundational call to upright living &#8211; Putting off works of darkness &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cChoose life\u2026 walk in His ways\u201d<\/em><\/span> &#8211; Deuteronomy 30:15\u201316 &#8211; Moshe urges believers to walk in God\u2019s commandments, rejecting sin and choosing righteousness &#8211; Avoiding revelry and immorality &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cDo not follow the crowd in doing evil\u201d<\/em><\/span> &#8211; Exodus 23:2 &#8211; A call to moral independence and uprightness, even when others choose corruption &#8211; Living as children of light &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cYou shall be holy, for I am holy\u201d<\/em><\/span> &#8211; Leviticus 19:2 &#8211; Holiness is expressed through ethical living, honesty, justice, and purity in daily walk. Paul\u2019s call to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cwalk honestly\u201d<\/em><\/span> is deeply rooted in Torah ethics: Integrity before God (Genesis 17:1), Moral clarity and separation from evil (Exodus 23:2), Daily obedience as a path of life (Deuteronomy 30:16), and Holiness in conduct (Leviticus 19).
