(NASB) <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.matsati.com\/index.php\/category\/bits-of-torah-truths\/ \">https:\/\/www.matsati.com\/index.php\/category\/bits-of-torah-truths\/ <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul\u2019s instruction in 1 Corinthians 7:11, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cLet not the husband put away his wife,\u201d<\/em><\/span> is deeply rooted in Torah ethics regarding the sanctity and permanence of marriage. While the Torah permits divorce, it does so with gravity and caution, emphasizing that separation is never to be taken lightly or used capriciously. In Genesis 2:24 \u2013 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Creation Blueprint<\/span> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cTherefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.\u201d<\/em><\/span> This foundational verse establishes marriage as a<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em> \u201clifelong union,\u201d<\/em><\/span> not a disposable arrangement. Paul\u2019s teaching reflects this original design: cleaving, not casting off. Deuteronomy 24:1\u20134 \u2013 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Law of Divorce<\/span> &#8211; Divorce is permitted, but only under specific conditions: A written certificate must be given. If the woman remarries, the first husband <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201ccannot take her back.\u201d<\/em><\/span> This law discourages <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cfrivolous separation\u201d<\/em><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cflip-flop reconciliation,\u201d<\/em><\/span> reinforcing the seriousness of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cputting away.\u201d<\/em><\/span> In Malachi 2:16<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em> \u201cFor the LORD, the God of Israel, says that He hates divorce\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/span> Here Malachi rebukes husbands who deal treacherously with their wives. Paul\u2019s instruction not to<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em> \u201cput away\u201d<\/em><\/span> echoes this prophetic warning rooted in Torah values.
