(NASB) <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.matsati.com\/index.php\/category\/bits-of-torah-truths\/ \">https:\/\/www.matsati.com\/index.php\/category\/bits-of-torah-truths\/ <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are Torah-based principles that parallel the second half of Romans 14:3 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cLet not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.\u201d<\/em><\/span> This part of the verse cautions against <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cjudging others for their liberty,\u201d<\/span><\/em> especially in matters of food. While the Torah doesn\u2019t frame it in exactly the same terms, it does establish a foundation of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cnon-condemnation,\u201d \u201crespect for conscience,\u201d<\/em><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cGod\u2019s prerogative to receive whom He wills.\u201d<\/em><\/span> For example, Genesis 18 \u2013 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Abraham\u2019s Hospitality<\/span> &#8211; Abraham prepares a meal for the three visitors, including meat and dairy (Gen. 18:7\u20138). While later rabbinic tradition prohibits mixing meat and dairy, the Torah narrative shows no judgment or rebuke. This suggests that <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201chospitality and relationship\u201d<\/em><\/span> take precedence over dietary scruples. Leviticus 11 \u2013 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Clean and Unclean Foods<\/span> &#8211; The Torah clearly defines clean and unclean animals, however, it does not command <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cjudgment of others\u201d<\/em><\/span> who may not follow these laws. Note that the focus is on <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cpersonal holiness,\u201d<\/em><\/span> not condemnation. Paul isn\u2019t dismissing Torah dietary laws but addressing <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201ccommunity tensions\u201d<\/em><\/span> especially in the diaspora setting where kosher meat was hard to access. The issue was <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cjudgmentalism,\u201d<\/em><\/span> not Torah observance. Torah itself never mandates vegetarianism, so Paul\u2019s concern was likely with \u201cman-made restrictions\u201d and \u201csocial divisions,\u201d not with the Torah commandments.
