Genesis 4:7 &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mastering Sin<\/span> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cSin is crouching at the door; its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.\u201d<\/em><\/span> Sin is personified as a force seeking dominion, just as Paul describes it. The Torah urges <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cactive mastery\u201d<\/em><\/span> not passive tolerance. This is the earliest and clearest Torah articulation of resisting sin\u2019s reign. 2. Leviticus 18:1\u20135 &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Guarding Bodily Conduc<\/span>t &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cYou shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt\u2026 You shall keep My statutes and My judgments, by which a man may live\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/span> Bodily behavior is governed by divine law, not cultural norms or lusts. The Torah frames obedience as a <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201clife-giving discipline\u201d<\/em><\/span> not mere ritual. 3. Deuteronomy 6:5\u20136 &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Whole-Person Devotion<\/span> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cYou shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.\u201d<\/em><\/span> The body is not neutral; it\u2019s a vessel for covenantal love and obedience.
