(NASB) <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.matsati.com\/index.php\/category\/bits-of-torah-truths\/ \">https:\/\/www.matsati.com\/index.php\/category\/bits-of-torah-truths\/ <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The concept in 1 Peter 4:11, where ministers are urged to speak <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cas the oracles of God,\u201d<\/em><\/span> finds strong thematic resonance in the Torah, especially in the roles of prophets, priests, and leaders who act as divine mouthpieces. While the term <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cminister\u201d<\/em><\/span> in the New Testament often refers to spiritual service within the church, the Torah presents multiple archetypes of individuals who speak on God\u2019s behalf. For example, Moses as God\u2019s Spokesman (Exodus 4:10\u201316; 7:1) Moses protests his speaking ability, and God responds: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cI will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.\u201d<\/em><\/span> Exodus 7:1 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cSee, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.\u201d<\/em><\/span> Moses becomes the prototype of prophetic speech, delivering divine revelation to Israel. We note Aaron and the Priestly Role (Leviticus 10:11) Priests are commanded to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cteach the people of Israel all the statutes that the Lord has spoken to them by Moses.\u201d<\/em><\/span> This establishes the priesthood as custodians and communicators of divine instruction. Also, Prophetic Speech as Divine Oracle (Numbers 12:6\u20138) God says: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cIf there is a prophet among you, I make myself known to him in a vision\u2026 but not so with my servant Moses\u2026 with him I speak mouth to mouth.\u201d<\/em><\/span> This affirms that prophets speak not their own words, but God\u2019s direct communication. And in Deuteronomy 18:18\u201319 the Promise of a Future Prophet, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cI will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put my words in his mouth\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/span> This anticipates a messianic figure who will speak with divine authority which is a concept echoed in New Testament Christology.
