One key passage is Genesis\u00a03:16, where God tells Eve: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This verse establishes a dynamic in which the wife acknowledges her husband&#8217;s leadership. Another relevant passage is Genesis\u00a02:18, where God says: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> The Hebrew word for <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;helper&#8221;<\/em><\/span> (ezer) suggests a supportive and respectful role. Additionally, Numbers 30:6-8 discusses how a husband has the authority to confirm or nullify his wife&#8217;s vows, reinforcing the idea of reverence and recognition of his role. Note how the Torah emphasizes respect and honor within marriage, aligning with the New Testament&#8217;s teachings on wives reverencing their husbands.
