One of the most direct parallels is Leviticus\u00a019:18, which says: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Love your neighbor as yourself.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This commandment is central to ethical living and is echoed throughout the NT, including in 1 Corinthians\u00a016:14. Another strong connection is the Shema according to Deuteronomy 6:5, which instructs: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This verse highlights the idea that love should be the driving force behind all actions\u2014whether toward God or others. In addition to this, the Torah teaches kindness and compassion in daily life, such as in Exodus 23:4-5, which commands helping even an enemy&#8217;s lost animal. These principles align with the idea that everything should be done in love.
