The Torah frequently emphasizes the importance of calling upon God in times of need and distress. For example, in Exodus 2:23-25, the people of Israel groan under their oppression in Egypt, and their cries reach God, prompting divine intervention. This passage highlights the idea that God hears and responds to the prayers and supplications of His people. In addition, throughout the Torah, figures such as Abraham, Moses, and Hannah openly express their desires and concerns to God. Abraham pleads for Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18:23-33), Moses intercedes for Israel multiple times (Exodus 32:11-14), and Hannah from the Neviim section of the Tanakh prays fervently for a child (1 Samuel 1:10-20). These examples reinforce the idea that believers are encouraged to bring their requests before God like Paul is saying in the NT text. This is how the NT and Paul teach Torah, the Torah has not passed away!

Bits of Torah Truths – Torah Concept in the NT: Let Requests be known to God – Episode 519 Philippians 4:6 אַל תִּדְאֲגוּ לְשׁוּם דָּבָר, כִּי אִם בְּכָל דָּבָר הַצִּיגוּ מִשְׁאֲלוֹתֵיכֶם לֵאלֹהִים בִּתְפִלָּה וּבְתַחֲנוּנִים וּבְהוֹדָיָה. #torah #torahwisdom #torahtruth #torahforlife #torah4you #torahtruth Philippians 4:6 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests […]

[48,34

0":"post-23646","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-bits-of-torah-truths","8":"category-video
["GET
