For example, in Genesis\u00a02:24, it states: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This reflects the idea of each man having his own wife and the sacred bond of marriage. We also find a connection in Deuteronomy 24:5, which says: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This passage highlights the responsibility of a husband to his wife, reinforcing the idea of a dedicated, exclusive marital relationship.
