For instance, Deuteronomy 6:5-6 the Shema highlights the relationship between love for God and obedience to His commandments, directly aligning with the teachings of Yeshua in the NT. In Exodus 20, the giving of the Ten Commandments sets the foundation for moral and spiritual obedience. These commandments serve as an enduring blueprint for living in accordance with God’s will. Similarly, Deuteronomy 11:1 states we are to have love for God and how this is inseparable from a life of faithful observance. The Torah also promises blessings for obedience, as seen in Deuteronomy 28, where Moses recounts the blessings for those who faithfully keep God’s commandments and also warns about the consequences for disobedience. The Torah establishes the framework for keeping God’s commandments and the Messiah Yeshua demonstrated this framework for us to follow. Through these connections, we see how the Torah and the teachings of Yeshua both emphasize that true devotion is demonstrated through faithful action. This is how the NT teaches Torah, the Torah has not passed away!

Bits of Torah Truths – Torah Concept in the NT: Keep the Commandments – Episode 468 #torah #torahwisdom #torahtruth #torahforlife #torah4you #torahtruth Matthew 19:17 19:17 And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good?
