Abraham is a prototypical model of unwavering faith. In Genesis 15:6, it is written, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> Abraham&#8217;s belief and trust in God&#8217;s promises, despite not immediately seeing their fulfillment, reflect the essence of holding confidence. According to Exodus\u00a014:13, Israel faced the seemingly insurmountable challenge of the Red Sea with the Egyptian army pursuing them. Moses tells the people, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This moment emphasizes the need to hold confidence in God&#8217;s deliverance, even when circumstances appear dire. The story of the twelve spies in Numbers 13-14 also highlights this theme. While ten of the spies brought back a discouraging report, Joshua and Caleb held firm in their confidence in God&#8217;s promise to give them the land. Numbers 14:8-9 captures Caleb&#8217;s steadfast faith: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;If the Lord is pleased with us, He will lead us into that land&#8230; Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> These examples from the Torah illustrate the importance of faith and trust in God, paralleling the exhortation in Hebrews to hold confidence.
