In Deuteronomy 10:20 Israel is commanded to cling to God, emphasizing a close, unwavering relationship. This mirrors the call in Revelation to maintain steadfastness in faith and commitment. In Deuteronomy 11:22 Moshe writes linking obedience to God’s commandments with loving Him and holding fast to Him. This suggests that devotion is demonstrated through action—by walking in His ways and adhering to His statutes. In Deuteronomy 13:4 (13:5 in some translations), the passage comes in the context of warnings against false prophets and idolatry. The directive is clear: amidst challenges and temptations, we must stay true to God, holding fast to Him alone. Note also Genesis 32:26 and Deuteronomy 30:19-20. These passages highlight several key themes that emphasize perseverance in faith. These are Torah centric principles, these things demonstrate how the NT teaches Torah.
