For example, Leviticus\u00a019:18\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Love your neighbor as yourself.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This verse is part of the Holiness Code and underscores the importance of treating others with love and respect, similar to the message in Luke\u00a010:37. Deuteronomy 15:7-8 states, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This passage highlights the importance of generosity and aiding those in need. Exodus 23:4-5 states, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;If you come across your enemy&#8217;s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it. If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help him with it.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This teaches the value of helping others, even those you may have conflicts with. These verses reflect the underlying principles of love, kindness, and proactive assistance that are central to the teachings in both the Torah and the NT. Note how all of scripture emphasizes the importance of not only believing in these values but also living them out through actions.
