For example, in Exodus 15:1-2 we read about the act of giving glory to God through song and praise, recognizing His mighty deeds and salvation. In Deuteronomy 32:3 we read, “I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!” Moshe’s song in Deuteronomy 32 emphasizes proclaiming God’s name and praising His greatness, which aligns with giving glory to God. Leviticus 10:3 states, “Moses then said to Aaron, ‘This is what the Lord spoke of when he said: Among those who approach me, I will be proved holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.’ Aaron remained silent.” This verse underscores the importance of honoring God and recognizing His holiness, which is central to giving Him glory. Exodus 24:17 states, “To the Israelites the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain.” The manifestation of God’s glory on Mount Sinai reflects His divine presence and the reverence due to Him. And Numbers 14:21 highlights the omnipresence of God’s glory, which calls for continual recognition and praise from His people. These passages from the Torah emphasize acknowledging and glorifying God’s greatness, His deeds, and His presence, paralleling the call to give glory to God found in Revelation 14:7.
