The Torah emphasizes the importance of generosity, charity, and providing for those in need. Deuteronomy 15:7-8 “If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.” These verses instruct God’s people to be generous and open-handed towards those in need, ensuring that they provide sufficient help without hesitation. Deuteronomy 15:10-11 also emphasizes the importance of giving willingly and cheerfully, with the assurance of God’s blessing in return. Exodus 22:25 also instructs to lend money to the poor without charging interest, ensuring that those in need are not further burdened by their financial difficulties. These passages from the Torah align with Yeshua’s teachings in Matthew 5:42 and Luke 6:30. Both the Torah and the NT emphasize the importance of generosity, caring for the needy, and responding compassionately to those who ask for help. This is how Yeshua and the NT teach Torah, the Torah has not passed away!

Bits of Torah Truths – Torah Concept in the NT: Give to Him that Asks – Episode 414 #torah #torahwisdom #torahtruth #torahforlife #torah4you #torahtruth Matthew 5:42 5:42 “Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.
