For example, the journey of the Israelites through the wilderness is a significant example of patience and reliance on God. Throughout their journey, they had to trust in God’s timing and provision, learning patience along the way. Exodus 16:4 “Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.” This verse highlights the need for daily reliance on God and patience in waiting for His provision. The story of Joseph is also a powerful testament to patience and enduring faith in God’s plan. Despite facing betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment, Joseph remained patient and faithful, ultimately seeing God’s purpose fulfilled. In the end Joseph stated in Genesis 50:20 “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” Joseph’s life exemplifies patience and trust in God’s timing, paralleling the call for patience in 1 Timothy 6:11. These examples from the Torah illustrate the importance of patience in the life of a believer, paralleling the NT call to follow patience. Both emphasize the necessity of trusting in God’s timing, enduring trials, and maintaining faith in His promises. This is how Paul taught Torah, the Torah has not passed away.

Bits of Torah Truths – Torah Concept in the NT: Follow Patience – Episode 409 #torah #torahwisdom #torahtruth #torahforlife #torah4you #torahtruth 1 Timothy 6:11 6:11 But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.
