In the Torah, the theme of faith, trust, and reliance on God is consistently emphasized. One key passage that aligns with this concept is from Deuteronomy 6:4-5 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This passage, known as the Shema, is central to Jewish faith. It calls for total devotion and trust in God, underscoring a deep, all-encompassing faith in Him. Another significant passage is Genesis 15:6 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This verse speaks of Abraham&#8217;s faith in God, which was credited to him as righteousness. It highlights the foundational aspect of faith in the relationship between God and His people. The Torah also emphasizes the importance of trusting in God&#8217;s provision and guidance, as seen in the story of the Israelites&#8217; journey through the wilderness. (Exodus 14:31) This verse describes the Israelites&#8217; faith in God after witnessing His deliverance at the Red Sea. These passages collectively illustrate the importance of faith in the Torah, paralleling the NT call to follow faith. Both emphasize trusting in God&#8217;s promises, His provision, and living in a way that reflects unwavering belief in His sovereignty and goodness.
