You shall not walk in their statutes. You shall follow my rules and keep my statutes and walk in them. I am the LORD your God.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This passage instructs the Israelites to avoid the practices and behaviors of the Egyptians and Canaanites, emphasizing the need to follow God&#8217;s commandments instead of former ways. In Leviticus 20:7 we are told, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the LORD your God.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This verse highlights the call to holiness and the importance of consecration, which involves turning away from former sinful behaviors.
