(NASB) <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>There are parallels in the Torah to the concept of commanding the rich to be humble. (1 Timothy\u00a06:17) The Torah emphasizes humility and the proper use of wealth in several passages: Deuteronomy\u00a08:17-18, this passage warns against pride and reminds the Israelites that their wealth and success come from God. It says, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cYou may say to yourself, \u2018My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.\u2019 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.\u201d<\/em><\/span> See also Deuteronomy 15:7-8 and\u00a017:20. These passages reflect the Torah\u2019s emphasis on humility, especially for those who are wealthy or in positions of power, aligning with the concept mentioned in 1 Timothy\u00a06:17.
