You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother\u2019s eye. (NASB95) <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The concept presented in Matthew 7:5 and Luke\u00a06:42\u00a0teaches to cast out the beam from your own eye before addressing the speck in your brother&#8217;s eye. There is a parallel in the Torah to this concept. One such parallel can be found in Leviticus\u00a019:17\u00a0where it instructs not to hate your brother in your heart but to rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt. This passage emphasizes the importance of self-examination and addressing one&#8217;s own faults before correcting others.
