Genesis\u00a017:10-14 outlines the covenant of circumcision that God established with Abraham and his descendants. It emphasizes the importance of circumcision as a sign of the covenant between God and His people. Any male who is not circumcised is said to have broken the covenant. In Deuteronomy\u00a010:16\u00a0Moshe tells us that <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> Note how this verse metaphorically extends the concept of circumcision to the heart, and places greater emphasis on the importance of inner spiritual transformation rather than just an outward physical sign. Note this is what Paul was talking about in the book of Romans. These passages highlight the significance of true circumcision as a covenantal sign and the importance of genuine spiritual commitment, aligning with the warning in Philippians 3:2 about being aware of false circumcision.
