But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.\u201d\u00a016:12\u00a0Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. (NASB) <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>There are parallels in the Torah to the concept of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Beware of Leaven&#8221;<\/em><\/span> as mentioned in Matthew 16:6-12. In the Torah, leaven is often used as a metaphor for sin and corruption. For example, Leviticus\u00a02:11\u00a0in the grain offerings, leaven was prohibited because it represented corruption and impurity: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;No grain offering that you bring to the Lord shall be made with leaven, for you shall burn no leaven nor any honey as a food offering to the Lord.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This passage highlights the symbolic use of leaven in the Torah to represent sin, corruption, and the need for purity and obedience. With this in mind, Yeshua warns in Matthew 16:6-12, to beware of the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;leaven&#8221;<\/em><\/span> of the Pharisees, which He identifies as their hypocritical and corrupt teachings. These things have no place in the lives of God&#8217;s people. This is how Yeshua taught Torah.
