There are several parallels in the Torah to the concept of not being drunk with wine, for example in Leviticus 10:9 it says, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tent of meeting, lest ye die.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> This commandment was given to Aaron and his sons, emphasizing the importance of sobriety during sacred duties. Solomon also says in Proverbs 20:1 and 23:20-21 to not drink strong drinks. These passages warn against associating with those who indulge excessively in wine and alcohol. These examples from the Torah align with the principle in Ephesians 5:18 of not being drunk with wine, emphasizing the importance of self-control and the dangers of excess.
